Kat Allen
I’m Kat Allen (she/her), a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Lead at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. I currently lead the Sussex Gender Service, where I’ve helped shape and launch our pilot service for trans and non-binary people. My background is in child and adolescent mental health (CAMHS), and I’ve spent much of my career working alongside trans and non-binary young people—something I’m genuinely passionate about.
I’m especially interested in building services that are not just evidence-based, but also genuinely inclusive and collaborative, centring both patient and staff wellbeing. I’ve been lucky enough to work with some brilliant multidisciplinary teams, and I’m always keen to learn from others in the field. I was recently recognised with a Positive Practice Award for leadership and service innovation, which was a real honour.
