Waiting, listening, designing: Reimagining support before voice therapy

Grace Gee is an Advanced Specialist Speech and Language Therapist at Leeds Gender Identity Service and an NIHR-funded pre-doctoral fellow. She specialises in gender-affirming voice and communication, combining clinical practice with research, education and digital improvement. As a Digital Ambassador and AI for Business Value apprentice, Grace has supported HEIDI’s implementation from clinical, accessibility and evaluation perspectives, including developing patient-facing information, staff training and implementation processes. Her research focuses on co-produced support for people waiting for gender-affirming voice therapy, with interests in equity, digital inclusion and safe innovation.
