Review of a private clinic population
Objective: To share initial data from a new transgender healthcare service in UK and Ireland serving young people and adults, set-up in June 2023. This presentation will focus on the under 18 cohort and includes demographic data of referrals as well as other data on Autism diagnosis, mental health outcomes, and data on numbers referred for GAH.
Methods: Routine outcome measures are administered and collected at different time points on a patient’s journey, pre/post psychological assessment and six monthly intervals while on a hormone treatment pathway.
Results: Descriptive statistics and interactions between the following variables will be explored; sex assigned at birth, trans identity, autism status, mental health status, and hormone treatment status.
Implications: There is currently a lot of focus on this cohort with minimal UK or Ireland based clinical data available. As such this data is novel and relevant to understanding how best to serve this population group.
