Matthew Mills is a Consultant Speech and Language Therapist in voice and communication and Head of the Speech and Language Therapy Service at the Charing Cross Gender Identity Clinic, London, where he has worked since 2009. He has worked in voice for over 25 years and originally trained as an actor and musician at Guildhall School of Music & Drama. He is a founder member of the Trans Voice and Communication CEN, and a National Adviser for the Royal College of Speech and Language. Matthew is a lecturer at the University of Greenwich and external examiner for MA/MFA Voice Studies at Royal Central School of Speech & Drama. He has presented at WPATH, EPATH and BAGIS, is a contributor of the Int. J. Transgender Health, and co-author of The Voice Book for Trans and Non-Binary People and ‘Voice and Communication with Trans and Non-Binary People: Sharing the Clinical Space’.
